NCAA set to announce infractions against Mississippi State

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - In August, Mississippi State acknowledged that an ongoing NCAA investigation into a potential recruiting irregularity was on going.  Mississippi State said the investigation was nearing an end and it would cooperate fully.

Tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. the NCAA announced that it will hold a conference call, but did not specify which sport is involved.

Today Bulldogs head football coach Dan Mullen said he was not able to comment on any of the speculation but did say the investigation was been going on for the last several months.

Mullen is expected to be on the Mississippi Gulf Coast tonight at seven for a Special Olympics fund raiser.

A source told ESPN that former wide receivers coach Angelo Mirando is the focal point of the infractions and that Mullen is not directly implicated.
