Suspects abandon SUV stolen in armed carjacking

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A vehicle taken from a woman at gunpoint was recovered at a Jackson apartment complex Thursday afternoon.

The Hinds County Sheriff's Department says a woman was from the SUV at gunpoint Thursday morning just south of Raymond on Highway 18.

Investigators say the carjackers followed the woman in a stolen black Cadillac before the carjacking.

Jackson police found the Toyota 4-Runner at the Camelot Apartments around 2 p.m. At least two suspects fled the vehicle and escaped.
