You heard us urging you to vote in the Mississippi Primary Elections. For those of you who voted in the primaries; thank you for participating in the democratic process. If you did not vote, there is still an opportunity for you to make a difference. The Mississippi Municipal General Elections are Tuesday June 4th.
There are dozens of contested elections in cities across the region. Like we said before, one or two votes can be the difference. In the May 7th primaries, several local elections were decided by just a few votes.
Remember, the people who hold local elected office are those who decide issues often very important to you - like money spent on police and fire protection, drainage projects and road paving. If you want a say on those matters, vote in the General Election Tuesday.
That's our opinion, we would like to hear yours. Email your thoughts to email@example.com, or post your comments below.
