DIAMONDHEAD, MS (WLOX) - Patricia Willis is headed to Jackson. Willis is the unofficial winner of the District 95 special election to represent parts of Harrison and Hancock Counties in the Mississippi House of Representatives.
The Diamondhead attorney received 52 percent of Tuesday's vote. That's more than enough to beat her three opponents and avoid a runoff. Her next closest competitor was Sherri Carr Bevis with 39 percent of the vote.
Once the results are certified, Willis will complete the final two-and-a-half years of the term started by the late Jessica Upshaw.
