JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A recent Madison Central High School graduate has played the violin at events all across the metro.

We found John Uzodinma playing the national anthem at the recent Run for the Wall observance, at the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Shop in south Jackson. His unusual rendition received a very warm reception.

We talked to John and learned that he was graduating from Madison Central this past weekend. We asked him to meet us at the War Memorial Building in Jackson and play his violin again.

We learned that he rents a $40,000 violin, made in Italy. John says the national anthem is very special to him.

"During that song and during the ovation, I felt that my job and I am so really honored that people are touched by my music," said John.

John feels he has a future in music.

"I am going to major in music and violin performance," said John. "I want to pursue it as a career and be a world famous classical violinist."

If you wondered about John's last name, of Uzodinma (oo zoe din'ma), his grandfather is Nigerian, but he is an American citizen born in this country. His parents are state employees.

He also plays in church as we learned from You Tube.

John Uzodinma appears on his way to a very successful music career.
