MDEQ to take public comments on restore plan

Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality will hold a public meeting on June 11 in Biloxi to take public comment on the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council's draft plan.

The meeting will be at Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center.

The council expects to release a final plan this summer.

The 30-day formal public comment period for the draft plan and associated documents ends June 24.

Other public meetings are June 3 in Pensacola, Fla.; June 5 in Spanish Fort, Ala.; June 10 in Galveston, Texas; June 12 in Belle Chasse, La.; and June 17 in St. Petersburg, Fla.
