Harrison Central falls 4-3 in game one of the 6A State Baseball Finals

Posted: Updated:

Southaven opened the game with two runs in the bottom of the first against Red Rebels ace Bryant Johnston on a single off the bat of Nolan Blackwood.

The Chargers added another run on a grounder in the bottom of the 3rd.

Harrison Central would rally and tie the game at 3 heading into the bottom of the 7th.

Southaven would plate the winning run on a grounder to first base and the Chargers take a huge step in winning the 6A State Championship 4-3.

The Red Rebels can tie the best-of-three finals by posting a win tomorrow night in Pearl and WLOX will be there.

A win on Friday would bring both teams back to Pearl on Monday.  Harrison Central and Southaven both have graduation on Saturday and that's why a third game would be played next week.
