Mississippi State beat South Carolina 5-3 with 2 runs in the top of the 9th

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

Former Harrison Central standout Wes Rea had a big night for Mississippi State driving in the go ahead run in the top of the 9th with a single to right field giving the Bulldogs a 4-3 lead. The Bulldogs added another to secure a 5-3 victory.

Mississippi State (42-16) advances into the winners bracket facing Texas A&M in the SEC nightcap Thursday night in Hoover, Alabama.  The Aggies upset top-seeded Vanderbilt 5-0.

Rea also drove home a run in the top of the first inning with an RBI single driving home Adam Frazier.
