Voting held today for primary run-offs

SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -

Today in South Mississippi there are 12 primary runoffs for the board of alderman or city council races.

If you voted in the primary on May 7, you must cast your ballot under the same party in today's runoff. If you did not vote in the primary races and there is a runoff in your ward today, you can cast your vote. The General Election is June 4.

From 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. polls will be open today.

Below is a list of the primary runoff races:

Bay St. Louis

At large: The Democrat runoff is between Mike Favre and Gregory Farve. Winner faces Republican Gary Knoblock and Independents Clark Breland and Johanna Spicuzza.

Incumbent Bill Taylor is not running.

Biloxi

Ward 3: The GOP runoff is between Dixie Newman and Joy Tucei. Winner faces Incumbent Lucy Denton.

Biloxi

Ward 4: The GOP runoff is between Robert Collier and Robert Deming, III. Whoever wins this race is the next Ward 4 Councilman because there is no opposition in June. Incumbent Clark Griffin is not running.

Biloxi

Ward 6: The GOP runoff is between Incumbent Ed Gemmill and Kenny Glavan. There is no opposition in June.

Diamondhead

Ward 2: The GOP runoff is between Blaine LaFontaine and Eric Nolan. There is no opposition in June.

Diamondhead

Ward 3: The GOP runoff is between Kenny Schmitt and Thomas Sislow. The winner faces Independent Michael Schaefer.

Gulfport

Ward 5: The GOP runoff is between Chris Fore and Myles Sharp. The winner faces Democrat James Beal. The incumbent from Ward 5--Ricky Dombrowski is now in Ward 2 because of redistricting.

Lucedale

Ward 1: The Democrat runoff is between Marlena Carter and Incumbent Carrie Moulds. There is no opposition in June.

Ocean Springs

Ward 6: The GOP runoff is between Incumbent James Hagan and Mike Impey II. There is no opposition in June.

Pascagoula

At large: The GOP runoff is between Brenda Simkins and Incumbent Harold Tillman Jr. There is no opposition in June.

Pascagoula

Ward 5: The GOP runoff is between Tim Lee and Scott Tipton. The winner faces Democrat William Keeton. The Incumbent Jim Milstead is not running.

Picayune

Precinct 1: The GOP runoff is between Incumbent Larry Watkins and Tammy Valente. There is no opposition in June.
