HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Four suspects were jailed after Harrison County Sheriff Melvin Brisolara said a burglary took place at a home at the 15000 block of Sara Lane in Saucier on Sunday.

Once deputies arrived to the home they reportedly found the victim bleeding after being struck over the head several times with a shovel.

An investigation revealed the victim came home while the burglary was taking place. That's when a struggle began with the victim and the suspects, Brisolara said. He said one of the suspects discharged a handgun, however no one was shot.

According to Brisolara, witnesses were able to give a description of the suspects and the car they fled in.

That description helped deputies spot the suspects' vehicle on Highway 605 near Turan Road.

Brisolara said after a brief pursuit the suspects fled on foot into a wooded area. Deputies used a K-9 to assist in the arrest.

The victim was taken to the hospital for his injuries and released.

The suspects include Larry Dean Presley, 24, of Gulfport; Devon James Signorelli, 22, of Gulfport; Timothy John Webb, 26, of Gulfport and Jasmine Francesca Whitehead, 26, of Biloxi.

Webb booked at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center Facility under a $250,000 bond and Whitehead was booked under a $50,000 bond both set by Judge Brandon Ladner. Signorelli and Presley were incarcerated without bonds due to previous charges. Brisolara said, Signorelli was previously charged with aggravated assault through the Gulfport Police Department. Presley was previously charged with burglary through the Long Beach Police Department.
