Three arrested for Medicaid fraud

Three Zachary women are facing Medicaid fraud charges for allegedly filing false claims.

Frankie C. Hinton, 36, Bettie Hinton Lusk, 55, and Ferdonia L. Jones, 22, were arrested Wednesday.

According to the attorney general's office, the women submitted time sheets saying they were working as personal care attendants for Medicaid recipients at the same time they were actually working for another personal care services agency.

Hinton has been charged with two counts of Medicaid fraud, one count of filing or maintaining false public records and one count of cruelty to the infirmed.

Lusk and Jones have been charged with three counts of Medicaid fraud.
