MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) - Two bank robbery suspects are on the run in Moss Point. But, their get away car has been recovered.
According to Moss Point police, the suspects entered the Hancock Bank on Hwy 613 just before 11:30 this morning wearing masks, holding guns an demanding money.
Moss Point Police Chief Keith Davis said one suspect jumped over the cashier counter and took an undetermined amount of cash.
The suspects left in a white 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. That car was found a short time later, just a few blocks from the bank. But, the assailants reportedly disappeared in another vehicle.
The robbery remains under investigation by the Moss Point Police Department along with the local FBI office in Pascagoula and the U.S. Marshals Service.
It's the third time in a month a South Mississippi bank has been robbed. The other bank robberies were a Hancock Bank in Gulfport and a Wells Fargo branch in downtown Biloxi. Nobody has been arrested in those cases.
