RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Pearl man will spend the next 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of gratification of lust involving children.

District Attorney Michael Guest announced Thursday that 36-year-old Brian Harris Porch entered a guilty plea at the end of his first day of trial.

In April 2012, the father of one of Porch's victims contacted the Pearl Police Department after taking his daughter to the emergency room because he feared she had been sexually abused. The child said she had been inappropriately touched by Porch, according to Guest.

During the investigation, police found a second victim.

During Porch's trial, both victims told the jury of the abuse. At the end of the first day of the trial, Porch changed his plea to guilty.

Porch received a 30-year sentence with the last 10 years suspended. He will be placed on five years of supervised probation when he is released.
