(RNN) - A jury found Dr. Kermit Gosnell guilty of murdering three babies during failed abortions on Monday. Gosnell, 72, was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences and gave up his right to an appeal. Gosnell was charged with three counts of first-degree murder, among other charges.

The U.K.'s Prince Harry made a goodwill trip to the United States. Items on the prince's itinerary included: touring reconstruction in New Jersey, visiting wounded U.S. veterans and visiting his nation's embassies with the British Prime Minister David Cameron. Prince Harry's trip ended Wednesday.

The Obama administration had a trio of big issues on its plate this week: the IRS's targeting of conservative groups, the Justice Department's seizure of two months of phone records from the Associated Press Monday, and the release of the Benghazi emails

O.J. Simpson was back in the courtroom again - this time for a chance to have a retrial for his 2008 conviction in Las Vegas.

Minnesota became the 12th state in the nation to legalize same-sex marriage. Minnesotans will be able to marry their partners on Aug. 1.
