Kilgore police seek witnesses to fatal crash

KILGORE, TX - On Thursday at approximately, 6:07 a.m., Kilgore Police along with Kilgore Fire and EMS responded to the intersection of FM 1252 and SH 42 due to a report of a two vehicle crash.

The crash involved a 2009 Ford truck traveling sound bound on SH 42 and a 2005 Chevrolet car traveling west bound on FM 1252. The driver of the Ford truck was identified as Robert Hinson, 57 years of age, of White Oak, TX. The driver of the car was identified as Felipe Tovar, 74 years of age, of Longview, TX. The car also contained two passengers. One of the passengers, identified as Emelia Tovar, 73 years of age of Longview, was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center, Longview, TX where she was pronounced dead.

The Kilgore Police Department is seeking witnesses to this crash. Several witnesses were observed at the convenience store near the intersection.
