VICKSBURG, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Vicksburg Police have arrested two men in connection with two armed robberies over the weekend. Nineteen-year-old Jonathan Clark, Jr. and a 16-year-old juvenile are charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, kidnapping and armed carjacking.

Clark is also charged with being a felon in possession of a weapon. He was convicted of house burglary in 2011.

The two were arrested in Mounds, Louisiana, with assistance from the Madison Parish Sheriff's Department.

Police say on Saturday afternoon, in the 2800 block of Valley Street, two persons were robbed at gunpoint and one person shot through the left hand but the bullet wound up his left shoulder.

The pair is also charged with an armed robbery of a cab driver Sunday. During the robbery, the victim received head injuries when he was struck with a handgun. They took his vehicle and put the driver in the trunk, but he was able to escape a short time later.

Clark is being held in the Warren County Jail after waiving extradition. The juvenile is being held pending a youth court detention hearing.
