PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Maricopa County sheriff's deputies arrested one person and had another in custody after a sweep at a Phoenix hotel Thursday morning in connection with a courthouse bomb threat tweeted after the Jodi Arias verdict was announced.

A tweet found by CBS 5 News sent sheriff's deputies scrambling to find the potential bomber. The suspect used Twitter and threatened to blow up the superior courthouse and threatened to kill.

On Twitter, he's known as GrimlinSkeleton. But sheriff's deputies say his name is Laquint Cherry. He was tracked down to the Value Place near the Interstate 10 and McDowell. The big guns were brought out and so was a bomb suit for his arrest.

"This morning we surrounded the hotel. He didn't want to come out. In fact, we made a call. He said he wasn't coming out; he said he was going to shoot the cops," said Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

This is the tweet that tipped deputies off last night:

"Planted some IEDs in the #jodiarias Superior Court room in Phoenix Arizona tomorrow I'll become a HERO and also shot by pigs once I unload."

"Something we haven't proved, whether he was serious or not," said Arpaio.

Officials said he'd been staying there with his girlfriend. She was questioned, but not arrested.

"One thing I'm concerned about, is he a lone ranger? Or is there someone else around here that has bombs or anything else? We don't know," Arpaio said.

Cherry, 18, denied the tweets were his. He told deputies he was a former member of the internet hacker group Anonymous, but said he has quit.

Other questionable posts have appeared on his Twitter page:

"Follow me so I can be on CNN and kill people."

"I'm curious as to where the #BostonBombing suspects or anyone would obtain the explosives? Because I'd like to buy some."

Arpaio said they didn't find any bomb-making materials in his room. Officials said they did find bullets inside of a backpack, but no gun.

Cherry was charged with one felony count of knowingly giving a false impression.

A jury on Wednesday found Arias guilty of first-degree murder with premeditation in the death of her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander.

Full-time Waveland city workers, primarily police officers, who take-home vehicles outside of the city limits could see a change to the city's policy soon. City leaders said the current policy is antiquated and needs to be rewritten into something that would benefit both the officers and the taxpayers.
