Blevins is Pascagoula's new mayor; Liddell out in Moss Point

JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Jim Blevins is the new mayor of Pascagoula, winning the GOP primary outright with 52 percent of the vote. His closest challenger was Frank Corder with just 24 percent. There are no challengers in the general election.

Blevins is a retired senior manager for Chevron. Since retiring he's worked as an independent project management and engineering consultant.

Current Pascagoula Mayor Robbie Maxwell decided not to seek another term. He had served in the city's top office since 2009.

And Aneice Liddell is out as mayor of Moss Point. Longtime State Representative Billy Broomfield beat the incumbent with 55 percent of the vote. Broomfield now faces Independents Dobbs Dennis and John Moseley Jr. in the June general election.
