Quave re-elected in D'Iberville, Fortenberry out in Gautier

SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - Rusty Quave has been re-elected as D'Iberville's mayor for another four years. With 60 percent of the vote, he handily beat his next closest opponent Travis Burke, who only received 95 votes.

The news wasn't as good for the incumbent in Gautier, where Mayor Tommy Fortenberry lost to Gordon Gollott. Gollott pulled in 56 percent of the GOP vote. He now faces Independent Edward Harding in the general election. This is his second run for mayor.

Mayor Jerry Alexander is also out in Wiggins. Joel Miles won the GOP nomination with 74 percent of the vote. Alexander garnered only 24 percent of the vote. Miles now faces Democrat Tina Davis in June.
