HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove has identified the man found in a pond just off of Jake Bell Road Saturday morning.
According to Hargrove that man is 64-year-old Donnie Hoda of Gulfport.
Hoda was last seen Thursday and reported missing Friday.
Harrison County Fire Marshal Pat Sullivan said the fire department received a report around 9 a.m. Saturday about a man that had been missing for about 24 hours. Sullivan said he was reportedly fishing in a pond on Friday.
Hargrove said an autopsy revealed Hoda died from drowning. His death has been ruled accidental.
Harrison County Fire Department dive team, Gulf Coast Search and Rescue and the Harrison County Sheriff's Department assisted in recovering Hoda from the lake.
