DIAMONDHEAD, MS (WLOX) - A long awaited paving project got underway in Diamondhead's Central business district Tuesday.
East Aloha Drive received a fresh layer of asphalt, and that made a lot of residents and business owners happy after the work was completed. It was a joint project between the Hancock County Board of Supervisors and the city of Diamondhead.
City leaders say the work will help define the traffic flow in the area.
Before the asphalt went down, the city had subsurface drainage work done there. It only took work crews about five hours to complete the project.
