JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Jackson County authorities are searching for a man they believe was running a meth lab in Escatawpa. Deputies busted a lab Sunday in the 3000 block of Donchester Circle. Shortly afterwards, they issued an arrest warrant for Donald David Spain, 56.

Sheriff Mike Byrd said Spain is wanted on charges of manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of precursor chemicals and generation of hazardous waste. If convicted, each charge carries a penalty of up to 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine.

Spain is about 6-foot-tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He has brown eyes and might be wearing glasses. His hair is brownish-gray. He has a cross tattoo on his left arm, a cross tattoo on his left shoulder and an angel tattoo on his right shoulder.

Spain has lived in Greene and George counties as well.

He's wanted on charges of manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of precursor chemicals and generation of hazardous waste. If convicted, each charge carries a penalty of up to 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine.

If you've seen Spain or know where he could be, call the Narcotics Task Force of Jackson County at (228) 769-3302 or the Jackson County Sheriff's Department at (228) 769-3063. All calls and information will remain anonymous.
