Showers and storms expected

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Some of us saw scattered hit and miss showers and storms this morning that were out ahead of our weak cold front.

The front will slowly move southeast throughout the day and as it does, the rain will end, followed by gradual clearing.

The rain will end along and north of the I-20 corridor by lunch time, then southeast Mississippi between 4p.m. and sunset. We will see temperatures reach the mid and upper 70's.

We will see a clearing and slightly cooler temps for tonight. We will drop into the middle 50's with areas of fog developing after midnight.

We're back into the low 80's Monday afternoon under a good supply of sunshine.
