CLINTON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Clinton woman is leveling accusations of harassment against a patrol officer.

The driver explains that she felt she was being followed by the officer who she later claims denied her daughter medical treatment. Dianna Davis said Clinton Police Department dash cam video she requested captured what she calls harassment.

On April 9, Davis claims Clinton Officer Dale Hollingsworth followed her on Clinton Parkway then farther south as it turns into Springridge Road.

She was issued three tickets during two separate stops. The first ticket was no seat restraint for one of four daughters in the SUV.

During the second traffic stop, tickets were issued for failure to use a turn signal and careless driving. The mother claims her child was wearing the seat belt incorrectly.

Davis said eventually the officer prevented paramedics from administering aid to her daughter.

"I took a picture of my daughter and then I turned to take a picture of him to prove to the judge that on this day my daughter had her seatbelt on. She just didn't have the harness on her, and I turned to take a picture of him and he said I could not take his picture. I told him 'you are a public servant and yes I can,'" said Davis.

The 43-year-old said her daughter, 12, who was just released from the hospital that day, suffers from asthma, severe eczema and other conditions and wasn't wearing the seatbelt correctly because it would cross an area of irritation.

After driving from the first stop the video shows that Davis was pulled over again.

The mother of four said her daughters became frightened, and the 12-year-old began to hyperventilate.

"When I saw him stop the ambulance people, I got out of my vehicle and started hollering 'Please help her, please help her. She's got asthma.' He wouldn't let them come to my daughter. His supervisor had to let them come to my daughter," said the angry Clinton resident.

Davis has filed a complaint with the Clinton Police Department. Interim Police Chief Mike Warren said he does not feel the officer acted outside his statutory authority.

"We received a complaint, looked into it and because of personnel matters we don't discuss any action we take," said Warren.

In the meantime, Davis has a May 8 court date for the three traffic tickets. She says she has an attorney and plans to contest the charges.
