Treasures of the Hard Rock arrives on the coast

Hard Rock Cafe's and casinos are located all over the world, including Biloxi.

The company is known for its incomparable collection of rock memorabilia.

This week a traveling exhibit shows off rare items in a display called Treasures of the Hard Rock.

Elise Roth Tedeschi, Regional Marketing Director says these items are part of Hard Rock's total collection "We have over 70,000 pieces. All of our stuff is authentic. So every one has a story behind it."

Treasures of the Hard rock showcases some very interesting pieces.

"Right here we have where rock and roll started. We have a letter dictated by Elvis Presley from January 20th, 1959" said Bill Teele, Manager of the Hard Rock Cafe.

There are two themes featured in this exhibit.

Gone too soon has pieces from deceased rock stars like Elvis, Jim Morrison and John Lennon " We have a suit that belonged to John Lennon as well as a pair of his glasses" said Teele.

The other half of the exhibit is titled Music Gives Back.

The spotlight falls on performers known for their charitable work. A good example of the is Elton John according to Bill Teele "Hard Rock participated with Elton John and his aids foundation. This is a letter he wrote thanking us for helping out said Teele.

The Treasures of the Hard Rock will be in place outside the Hard Rock Cafe through Sunday.
