Alzheimer's Wing Opened

Pass Christian officially welcomed Twin Oaks into its community as a facility that will house Alzheimer's patients. The ribbon cutting signified the official opening of the brand new 5-million dollar building.

Twin Oaks is an assisted living facility for the elderly, and will have a wing dedicated to caring for patients with Alzheimer's. Up to 16 patients can stay on the wing, where they will have their own room complete with a bathroom. Twin Oaks is the type of facility that we may be seeing more of in the future.

Pat McPeek is the Twin Oaks Executive Director and says, "Right now in our area this is the first one for Mississippi for this company, Cara Vita, and they have 17 facilities elsewhere but this is the first one in Mississippi, and I think you'll see more and more assisted living and more and more special needs facilities as well."

Cara Vita manages Twin Oaks and they're out of Roswell, Georgia. Twin Oaks can take care of 61 residents.
