Knights' Webb adds to family tradition, signs with UGA

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Deerfield-Windsor shortstop Harris Webb is Athens-bound.

The Knights star signed with Georgia in front of family, friends, and teammates in Deerfield's media center Thursday.

Webb says becoming a Dawg was an easy decision.

He says he's simply following the family tradition.

"All my family has basically gone to the University of Georgia. My dad went. His dad went. Both my sisters have gone," he says of the school. "It's going to be awesome. It's a dream come true honestly. It's going to be great."

Webb credits CrossFit for helping him improve his speed and strength to a Division I level.
