LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

The suspect wanted by The Gregg County Sheriff's Department in connection with an aggravated assault case has been arrested.

Early Sunday morning, an aggravated assault occurred near the Fantasy Ranch on the 6400 block of Highway 31 in Kilgore. A patron at the club received serious injuries from a knife attack after a brief argument.

"People involved in the argument went outside. Our suspect, Eric Eakin, cut a man on the face with a knife from his ear to his lip," says Gregg County Sheriffs Office Lieutenant Kirk Haddix.

The 27-year-old Eakin has numerous tattoos on his head, face and entire body. The most recognizable tattoos being 'Hellraiser' on the left cheek and spiders on right cheek and chin. He also has an extensive arrest record.

"Aggravated assault, burglary arrest, he's been to TDC. He's well known in that Highway 31 area. He frequents the clubs in that area," Haddix says.

Business owners say Eakin has a reputation that got him banned from at least two clubs on Highway 31.

"Evidently has a hot temper. January 12, he was at another club, Showtimes. In another argument, one of the dancers at the club was cut on the face and receive numerous stitches," says Haddix.

Gregg County sheriff's deputies say Eakin was arrested in Waller County, which is northwest of Houston.

Eakin has outstanding felony warrants for aggravated assault and evading arrest or detention.
