JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The fallout from a bar fight Sunday night in Jackson has caused several retaliation shootings, leaving homes and cars riddled with bullet holes.

The bar fight originated on Bailey Avenue across from the Medical Mall and has resulted in numerous gunshots being fired at buildings and cars along Bailey Avenue and Davis Street in Jackson.

Numerous gunshots were fired at the Houston Bar and Grill on Bailey Avenue where it all started. It got worse when shooters went to a car lot near Fortification Street on Bailey Avenue, and set at least three cars on fire and sprayed the office and the car lot with bullets.

"Like a boom, boom, boom, and I just seen the fire coming out," said Marilyn Martin. "I didn't see the gun but I could see the fire and I just got on the floor."

Marilyn Martin says the potentially fatal attacks are aimed at her nephew.

Jackson Police Assistant Chief Lee Vance says both the fire department and police department are investigating the violent acts.

"We have two active investigations that are already underway as it relates to this incident Bert," said Jackson Assistant Police Chief Lee Vance. "The Jackson Fire Department is conducting an arson investigation as it relates to the burning of the vehicles. Our Homicide and Robbery Division is conducting an investigation as it relates to the shootings."

Martin said all the violence came from the "Wood Street gang." Martin confirms at least 20 bullets were fired at her vehicle and her house on Davis Street.
