Fire Marshal: Two early morning fires destroy homes

Posted: Updated:
HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Harrison County Fire Marshal Pat Sullivan says two separate early Sunday morning fires destroyed homes and vehicles.

Sullivan says just after 2:30 a.m. a fire tore through a mobile on home at 19991 Little Road, off of North Shaw Road. Three people were in the trailer at the time of the fire but they were able to escape without injuries.

A vehicle, outside the home, was also destroyed. Lizana, West Harrison and Harrison County fire units responded.

Later, Sullivan says just after 3:30 a.m., a fire ripped through a single-story wood framed home at 16463 F. Taylor Road. One person was inside the home but got out without any injuries.

A vehicle outside the home was destroyed, as well. A shed and a pickup truck were damaged, too. Saucier, Woolmarket and Harrison county fire service units responded.

No word yet on what started the fires but Sullivan said they are both under investigation.
