WLOX Editorial: St. Jude Children's Hospital worth supporting

Posted: Updated:

By now, you have heard us talk quite a bit about the St Jude Dream Home that will be given away in a drawing on Sunday.  I wanted to take a moment to tell you why we at WLOX partnered with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for this project.

It's the work they do for kids. The money raised for St. Jude goes to research, treatment and care of sick children. Thanks to donors, no family ever pays St. Jude for anything.

St. Jude has been working to save children since 1962. Back then, four of every five children with cancer died.  St. Jude has helped develop treatment protocols that turned the survival rate around. Now four of five children with cancer live.  And the people at St. Jude are working to save them all. What could be more worthy of our support.

That's our opinion, we would like to hear yours. Email your thoughts to editorials@wlox.com, or post your comments below.
