TRAFFIC REMINDERS: I-20 in Rankin Co.

RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Saturday MDOT crews closed the right and center westbound and eastbound lanes of I-20 between Pearson Road and U.S. Highway 49. The work is scheduled to end at 7 p.m. Saturday night.

Sunday during the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. crews will close the right westbound and eastbound lane of I-20.

The Pearson Road "on ramp" will also be closed to I-20 westbound in the same area.

MDOT wants drivers to use caution when driving through all work zones.

    Workers at Ingalls Shipbuilding launched the National Security Cutter Midgett on Wednesday. It's the eighth NSC Ingalls has built for the U.S. Coast Guard, and is set to be christened Dec. 9.
