JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A rape victim's testimony Wednesday in Hinds County court helped put her father behind bars for the rape of another child -- his girlfriend's 11-year-old stepdaughter.

Her father is described by the Hinds County District Attorney's office as a dangerous serial sexual predator.

Wednesday, Bernard Hubbard, a registered sex offender who had two prior convictions for raping children, was sentenced to 30 years for preying on another child.

In an exclusive interview, Hubbard's daughter Angelica Davis Love said she needed to stand up for the young victim.

"He used different ways and different techniques to choose his victims and I wanted him to know that he has caused me 17 years of pain, depression, low self-esteem and feeling neglected," Love said. "I don't trust anyone around my three girls."

He began molesting Angelica when she was 9. He gave her gifts and made her swear on a Bible not to tell anyone he molested her. She is now urging others to break the code of silence.

"Anybody that may have been a victim of rape, not just this one. Let them know it's okay to come clean. To speak out. You might not get justice for yourself but you will get justice for the next person and it will help you with closure," Love said. "He got 30 years and I can say I helped put him behind there. And I'm glad he's behind there, and he won't be able to hurt no one. But we need to get the other rapists off the street."

Hubbard was previously convicted for the sexual battery of Love and a girlfriend's 11-year-old niece.

Hubbard already faced life in prison on gratification of lust and sexual battery charges stemming from incidents that occurred in 2008 and 2010.

Hinds County District Attorney Robert Smith says he's concerned there could be other victims outside of Mississippi because Hubbard traveled extensively as a truck driver.
