More than 500 without power in Pearl River County

PEARL RIVER COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

Coast Electric Power Association said more than 500 of their customers have reported power outages in Pearl River County Sunday around 5:30 p.m.

Coast Electric Power Communications Specialist April Lollar said Coast Electric Power crews are working on getting the power back up.

Lollar said most of the power outages were caused by lightning strikes. Coast Electric Power serves Harrison, Hancock and Pearl River counties.
