PELAHATCHIE, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Rankin County woman says she discovered something she'd never seen before on her farm Sunday night.

Lucy the chicken hatched at 6 p.m., and Annette Bragg said she immediately knew something was different about her. Lucy has four legs that are all normal size, but she hasn't been able to walk because of where they are placed.

Bragg doesn't know why Lucy has the extra legs, but thinks it's possible she was meant to be a twin.

Bragg raises chicks on her Pelahatchie farm and has more than 100, but says this is the strangest thing she's seen.

"It sort of captured my heart," she said.
