(WMC-TV) – The Ole Miss/Wisconsin game is actually the first game that is going to be played in Kansas City at 11:40 Friday. But first, Ole Miss fans who were in Kansas City got together to show their support.
Kansas City is a long trip for many Ole Miss fans, but the showing at an official alumni event being held downtown across from the Sprint Center shows the fans were ready for NCAA action.
"For someone like me who is a basketball fan that has always been there, years like this are fun," said fan Tricia Cantrell.
Ole Miss Chancellor Dan Jones can't brag enough about the Ole Miss team.
"These kids are so excited, so fired up, I'm so proud of them," said Jones.
Win or lose, the Ole Miss fans we talked to in Kansas City tell us they are proud of their team and that they got this far when a lot of people counted them out already.
