Moments later, the gun's owner was taken to jail. Police say Sam Edward Yu is charged with attempted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The 21-year-old is from Montgomery, Alabama.More >>

STONE COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -
The woman accused of hoarding more than 100 dogs in Stone County has turned herself in to authorities. Shirley Gai was at the Stone County Correctional Facility Thursday before noon, and has agreed to surrender the seized animals.
Gai is charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty and 116 counts of animal neglect, which are also misdemeanors.
The dogs seized during Tuesday's raid are still being examined at the animal shelter in Hattiesburg and the SPCA in Stone County. All of the dogs have worms and mange and are quarantined.
This is the third time Gai has been accused of animal hoarding and neglect. Previous complaints came when Gai lived in Waveland and Lumberton.
The SPCA says it will take a least two months to treat these dogs and they will have to depend on people in the community to foster any animals that come in during that time.
