It's officially Spring and that means plenty of Easter activities and outdoor events.

Jackson County Heart Walk

Take part in a walk that helps raise money for heart and stroke research. Bring your friends or family and meet others at Pascagoula Beach Park. This non-competitive walk is Saturday.

Photos with the Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny makes a special appearance at Beau Rivage on Saturday and Sunday. So hop in for free photos with the Easter bunny from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Kids also eat free at the buffet during the photo opportunity. Pictures will be ready in the arcade one hour after they are taken.

Easter Egg Hunts

What would be the first weekend of Spring without Easter egg hunts? All of South Mississippi is holding some sort of Easter egg hunt. There are evening hunts where children use flashlights to find eggs to special needs hunts and hunts that include a slew of other activities like egg tosses and more. We've got all the Easter egg hunts on this list.  

25th Annual Barbecue Under the Oaks

Enjoy some of Mississippi's best barbecue underneath centuries old oaks during the 25th Annual Barbecue Under the Oaks. Ribmaster cooking teams will be in charge of the tasty pork. Jessie Hill will be performing live. Guests can choose to take part in a silent auction. Play areas will be set up for children along with face painting, train rides and more. All proceeds benefit the Gulf Coast Symphony.

20th Annual Herb, Garden and Art Festival

Every Spring the two day annual herb, garden and art festival is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Ocean Springs. You'll find the top varieties of herbs, plants and art work. Get an herb education and take part in a garden party for all ages. The free strawberries and cream samples are delicious. This is a popular event for locals so be sure try to get their early to get your parking space.

17th Annual East Central Fashion Day

The 17th Annual East Central Old Fashion Day kicks off Saturday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. in Hurley. This event is packed with fun in the form of arts and crafts, an antique car, truck and bike show. To top off the day there will be all sorts of entertainment for kids and a kids pageant.
