Accident at N.Jackson intersection sends several to hospital

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson firefighters and medical personnel with AMR responded to an accident at the intersection of Watkins Drive and Forest Avenue Friday afternoon.

Video was sent to WLBT  by a viewer.

According to a witness on the scene, the driver of an older model dark car seen in the video is being attended to by firefighters and a female passenger were taken away by ambulance.

At this time we don't know the extent of their injuries.

The eyewitness tells us the occupants of a white car that was involved in the wreck did not appear to be hurt.

    Flames shot out of a Coast Guard vessel docked at the Gulfport Small Craft Harbor Wednesday morning before sunrise. Gulfport fire trucks rushed to the harbor and quickly poured water on the burning boat.
