SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -

The Gulf Coast goes green this weekend for St. Patrick's Day. South Mississippi is offering a variety of events in Irish fare and dance.

Sunday

Pass Christian is holding the Krewe of Blarney St. Patrick's Day walking parade. The parade begins on Scenic Drive and heads to Davis Avenue and north on Handy Avenue. This parade starts at 1PM Call 228-547-4873.

The 28th Annual Shenanigan's St. Patrick's parade will be held in Gulfport. Several units are in this parade. Units include floats, marchers, antique cars, floats and bagpipes. The parade starts at 2PM. Call 228-209-3627 for details.

The parade's official mascot is "Mr. Finnigan", and he is joined each year by a Grand Marshall and a Colleen, selected by the Quota Club!
