In March everybody's Irish, especially in South Mississippi and while the celebrations don't exactly mirror traditional Irish festivities there's plenty of fun for just about every age group.
Biloxi St. Patrick's Day parade

The 35th Annual Biloxi St. Patrick's parade follows an Irish theme complete with bag pipers, leprechauns and more. The parade starts at 2 p.m. at the Biloxi Yacht Club, down Highway 90 to Lameuse Street.

St. Ann's Catholic Church is holding a St. Patty's Day Benefit from 4 p.m.- 10 p.m. On Saturday benefiting Patrick O'Connell who is fighting colon and liver cancer. Be sure to wear you St. Patrick's Day attire. Various bands will be playing, there's going to be burgers, crawfish and BBQ. Plus a silent auction, kick ball tournament and fun bouncy houses for the kids.

Watch rat rods, street rods, hot rods, nostalgic 50s and 60s greasers and more at the Rats and Tatts Atomic Blast at the Gulfport Dragway. Some of these vehicles perform flag drop heads-up drag racin', 1/8 mile drags and more. There's also a burnout contest, men's and women's tattoo contest and food and beer stands. This Friday, the Surge hosts the Mississippi RiverKings at 7:05 p.m. at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. The hockey players will be wearing special St. Patrick's Day jerseys, also known as, sweaters. After the game you'll have an opportunity to take part in the jersey auction. Plus players will also sign the jerseys.
4th Annual St.Paddy's Day Celebration

Ocean Springs pubs and restaurants will take part in the annual Shamrock Trail beginning at 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Throw on your green outfit and celebrate the luck of the Irish. Businesses will offer traditional Irish dishes like corned beef, cabbage and Irish coffee.

Pass Christian is setting the stage for an all encompassing St. Patrick's Day celebration on Davis Avenue. Restaurants and bars will offer food and drink specials. The city also has the Krewe of Blarney St. Patrick's Day walking parade. This parade begins on Scenic Drive and heads to Davis Avenue and north on Handy Avenue. This parade starts at 1 p.m.
