Sika Sarnafil’s FM Approval is the first to be secured worldwide for a vegetated roofing system and includes both the vegetated cover and the Sarnafil roof waterproofing system. The certification was granted to Sika Sarnafil in conjunction with the company’s green roof provider and installer partners, Roofmeadow and Intrinsic Landscaping, and includes approvals for more than 15 various vegetative coverings on both concrete and steel deck construction.
FM Approval assures customers a roofing system that has been objectively tested and conforms to FM’s high standards for roof construction. FM Global is one of the world’s largest business property insurers with clients in more than 100 countries around the globe. The Sika Sarnafil approved systems can be found in FM’s online RoofNav system under the following listings: RoofNav # 329526-0-0 for steel decks and RoofNav #319545-0-0, #319544-0-0, and #319543-0-0 for concrete decks.
