LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

The city of Laurel recorded its first homicide in four years on Wednesday.

Jeremy Coleman, 31, died at a Hattiesburg hospital Wednesday night from gunshot wounds he suffered in a weekend shooting incident.

Coleman was found in the front yard of a residence in the 1000 block of North Second Avenue early Sunday morning. He had been shot multiple times.

Police say they are talking to neighbors and are looking for suspects in the case.
