Spring temps and rain coming our way

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

We are expecting an unseasonably warm and unsettled weekend ahead.

Clouds prevented us from cooling down much Friday night. Temperatures started out in the low 50's Saturday morning, which is several degrees above normal for early March.

There will be more clouds than sun Saturday, but there will be a big time warm-up!

Despite the clouds, temperatures will soar into the middle 70's thanks to a steady south wind kicking up in advance of an approaching storm system.

A few scattered showers are possible Saturday night, but the better coverage of rain and storms will hold off until Sunday, becoming widespread Sunday night through Monday morning.
