A Brookhaven woman was killed in a head-on crash in Lincoln County Friday morning.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol says Christy L. Smith, 39, died at the scene. Her 6-year-old daughter, Maddie, had to be cut from the Honda Accord Smith was driving.

Maddie Smith was airlifted to University of Mississippi Medical Center with moderate injuries.
