OTTAWA, Feb. 27, 2013 /CNW/ - Whether Canadians are seeking the sun, visiting family or hitting the slopes during March Break, Canada Post has a few suggestions to help them avoid the stress associated with preparing for a family vacation.
Protect your home
Leaving mail unattended and uncollected for a few days or longer could
make your home a target for thieves and provide them with an
opportunity to steal personal information or break in. To help, Canada
Post can suspend mail delivery and securely store your mail until you
return - for as little as $20 for 10 weekdays or less ($8.50 for each
additional five weekdays). The hold mail service can be purchased online or at the nearest post office.
Don't forget your bills
Forgetting to pay an important bill could ruin a family vacation. Canada
Post's free epost service allows Canadians to manage and pay their
bills from anywhere at anytime. With the recently added feature on the
Canada Post mobile app, Canadians can access their account on their
mobile device no matter where their travels take them.
Send some memories
As vacationers snap photos of their adventures, they can send
personalized postcards to their loved ones back home through the
Picture Postcard feature on the Canada Post mobile app. By uploading
their photo and address book, they can have a postcard sent for less
than the cost of a latte.
