Be careful: Several coast roads look like rivers

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

Overnight rain on top of what fell Friday and Saturday has area creeks spilling out of their banks.  And that's turned several roads across South Mississippi into rivers.

According to Harrison County EMA Director Rupert Lacy, the following roads are either closed, or should be avoided:

County Roads

  • 28th West of Beatline under water but passable.

 D'Iberville City

  • Brodie Rd @ Evergreen Standing water
  • Central South of Quave underwater
  • Gorenflo just North of Octave
  • 3rd Ave just north of Rodriguez St
