Car dealers make major investment in Pascagoula

PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - A major investment in Jackson County was unveiled Friday in Pascagoula. The ribbon was cut on the expansion and renovation at Butch Oustalet Chevrolet.

Work has been underway for several months. The new showroom is more spacious and airy, and the customer waiting area has been completely revamped and includes wi-fi, big screen TVs and a children's play area. Even the service write up area is climate controlled.

For the owners, it's a sign of commitment to the local economy.

"Since we've been in Jackson County since 2006, Larry and I have actually invested more than $7 million, so just this facility is a million and a half," Butch Oustalet said.

"It is all about the consumer experience and then knowing what to expect when they get to a Chevrolet dealership," Larry Clark said. "It will be exactly the same here as it is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania or anywhere else in the country."

After the ribbon cutting, guests were treated to refreshments, and someone walked away with a high-def TV door prize.
