There's a myriad of must see events taking place this weekend. You may not know about all of them. Not to worry, here's a list of our top picks for fun events.
Calling all car enthusiasts you're invited to the 34th Annual "Gulf Coast Rod Run". A variety of pre-80s cars, trucks and motorcycles will line the D'Iberville Town Green on Saturday. Depending on the weather, organizers expect between 100 to 150 vehicles with on- of-a -kind paint jobs and interiors. Attendees will select the best vehicles for the People's Choice or women's choice awards. This event will go on rain or shine.

D'Iberville's 7th Annual BBQ Throwdown and Festival is Saturday. Around 40 individuals from all over Mississippi, Louisiana and Tennessee will be competing to take home the title of best BBQ. In addition, there are carnival rides, 40 arts and crafts vendors, 15 food stations offering BBQ, Greek, Asian and carnival food. Rain or shine the event will go on, but organizers ask that you do bring your rain gear.

Join the Pink Heart Funds for an Evening in Pink at the Biloxi Civic Center. This event features heavy hors d' oeuvres from various local restaurants. The fundraiser includes fantastic door prizes, auction items and entertainment. Sista Jazz and Johnny Hozey are on tap to perform live. The cancer survivor fashion show offers must see styles. All proceeds go towards providing free wigs and breast prosthetics to cancer patients.

Celebrate Black History month with the Moss Point High School Jazz band. They are performing at the Ina Thompson Moss Point Library on Saturday starting at 2 p.m. There concert carries a high-energy, fast-paced performance the whole family will enjoy. Refreshments will be available.

Bring your children to the Pass Christian or Biloxi Central Library on Saturday for The Visiting Pet Teams of South Mississippi's Children's Reading Program. Certified therapy dogs and their owners will be at the libraries helping children one on one improve their communication and reading skills. Children can gain confidence by reading to the dogs and the handler. Bookmarks, stickers or pencils will be awarded for participation. Attendees must not be afraid or allergic to take part.
