Police say a Port Allen, LA man had a heart attack while he was driving
Tuesday around 11 a.m. on Essen Lane near Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. Police
say he was on his way to the hospital because he was having extreme chest
pains.
According to police, Ralph Jackson, 60, lost control of his pickup truck and
he crossed into oncoming traffic where he hit a 2002 F-250 pickup. The F-250
then crossed into another lane where it was rear ended by 2004 F-150 pickup.
After the F-250 was rear ended, it crashed into a 2004 GMC Sierra that had
stopped on Margaret Ann.
Jackson died at the scene of the crash. Two others were taken to the
hospital with minor injuries.
